A good reputation precedes our kitchen. Every day, host Paul and his team at our restaurant near the Stelvio Pass, Val Venosta, prepare a sophisticated menu from fresh and mainly regional ingredients. The inspiration? The rich culinary tradition of the Mediterranean and Alpine countries, combined with a pinch of gourmet cuisine and of course the best South Tyrolean and international wines.

 

Most of our guests appreciate our half-board with rich breakfast buffet and multi-course dinner, but you can also enjoy our specialties for lunch à la carte. In the warmer months, we particularly like to dine on the sun terrace.

What makes a good cook? Holding fresh products in hand and seeing the potential for a new dish in them.

Unforgettable Experience

Good breakfast with a great view and an even by South Tyrol standards exceptionally good dinner in half board! Highly recommended.

The Gasthof Sonne in Stilfs/Stelvio is worth a detour, because what is conjured up on the plates every day by chef Paul and his team can easily compete with top-class gastronomy.

Definitely book the half board, the cuisine is fantastic. The food in South Tyrol is generally good, but the evening menu at the Sonne is a real highlight. I was not there for the first time and certainly not for the last time.
