Ski resorts in the Alps: Solda ski area

Ski-ready, steady, go! One of the most renowned ski resorts in the Alps is Solda/Sulden ski area; here skiing takes on a new dimension. The ski area on Solda/Sulden glacier is open six months per year (end of October until beginning of May) and offers lots of opportunities to seize the slopes with about 40 km and up to 3,200 metres of height. Modern infrastructure, top slopes and a funpark make of it destination no. 1 for skiers, telemakers, boarders, freeriders and freestylers. The place to be is the ski run between the Kanzel ski-run and the cable car; three times per week from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. this slope is transformed into a fully lit toboggan run. Skiing in the Alps – Trafoi

Stelvio National Park ] offers two ski resorts in the Alps in immediate proximity of our Hotel Sonne for some serious skiing adventures in the Alps. If you spend your ski holiday with your family, then you are best advised with Trafoi ski area. Here you find perfectly prepared slopes with a total of 10 km of runs at various levels; so get your gear on and get ready. Especially kids love Trafoi ski area as here it is particularly easy to learn how to ski. Already ski legend Gustav Thöni made his first attempts on skis in Trafoi, his home. After an exciting day of downhill skiing in this ski resort in the Alps, hop on the magic carpet and let yourself be carried away back to the starting point of the piste. 

 

Besides skiing in the Alps there is also tobogganing and cross-country skiing in Trafoi. Check out the local 4-km long toboggan run and cruise down at high speed or get your sweat on, classic or skating style, on the 6-km long cross-country track.
